With the addition of new MoCA 2.0 units, iPhotonix iVolve platform delivers the market leading options for home installations of Fiber Optic Services.

Richardson, TX (PRWEB) - iPhotonix, an industry innovation leader for the NFV and fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) technologies, announced today the addition of six indoor MoCA 2.0 (ONTs), bringing its total number of units to 42 and making iVolve the most feature-rich Optical Network Termination Platform available on the market today. MoCA provides networking solutions for distributing data over existing coax cables and brings additional options for delivering services to the home from 400 and 800 (bonded) Mbps net throughputs and 1Gbps for bonded point-to-point mode.

Already a leader for the optical access and network functions virtualization, cloud transformation and fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) technologies for both residential and business markets, iPhotonix has expanded its capability with these new ONTs. These units combine with iPhotonix' WiFi Virtual Gateways, RF features sets, MDU/SBU solutions to supply multiple options while minimizing customer disruption and or changes to the end customer.

“With the addition of these six units, capabilities for operators bringing fiber optic services to their customers has increased dramatically,” says Jeff Mulqueen, VP of Business Development. "If the dwelling has existing coax, the operator can get in the 1Gbps services game without the disruption of rewiring the home or disruption of existing services and do so at an OpEx savings. These units bring a true advantage to the existing operators who currently have the customer and are servicing the home.”

These units are being added to the iVolve platform to provide operators with all options available in terminating Fiber Optic Service and delivering services throughout the dwelling. General availability of these units will begin September 15th, 2015.
