Fibertek TRACERTAPE Incorporates The High Tensile Strength Of Our Standard PULLTAPE Products
Methods of detection will vary with each individual application depending on the type of detection equipment being used.
The product serves a dual purpose in that once the cable or duct has been located, you can also measure and pull with the same product.
1. A minimal amount of pressure is required to pre-thread the product. With conventional compressors, approximately 40 CFM should be sufficient pressure to blow the tape, however more difficult runs could require increased pressure.
2. To lock onto the conductor, strip the jacket approximately two inches back, using the clips supplied with the detection unit, lock on direct.
3. You can now put a tone onto the TRACERTAPE. Although it is necessary to ground only one end, grounding at both ends will enhance the signal quality.
4. Once toning and grounding have been completed, you are ready for detection.
The conductor consists of 24 AWG solid copper with maximum voltage of 300V. Resistivity is 25.7 OHMS/mft.
