OptiCon (OPCN) Begins Demonstrations Of New Software To Fiber-Optic Providers

Grapevine, TX - OptiCon Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce that the Company has begun demonstrations of their new R-3.8.0.0 software to key fiber-optic providers across the country. OptiCon's latest version will ensure compatibility with the latest oracle database products, Microsoft Operating Systems and the newest GIS technology from MapInfo. The solution provides management structure for a physical fiber-optic cable network used by cable providers and telephone systems that have deployed or will deploy fiber-optic cable.

OptiCon is focusing its initial efforts on signing maintenance agreements with communications companies and other organizations that are using earlier versions of OptiCon's software. They include Level 3 Communications, AT&T, Brighthouse Networks, etc. The second phase will be to market version R-3.8.0.0 to potential customers like Sprint/Nextel, Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Vodafone and others.

OptiCon will offer online demonstrations of its R-3.8.0.0 version of the fiber management software. Telephone, e-mail and interactive, web-based support are also available. The company plans to expand its sales and marketing reach into Europe by opening an office in the United Kingdom in August 2008.
