1702A Return Path AWDM Laser Module

Ortel Corporationeturn Path Laser Module is an analog wavelength division multiplexing (AWDM) laser with a DFB chip specifically designed for RF applications. Analog Wavelength Division Multiplexing (AWDM) technology makes it possible to apply dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) to the transmission of cable television signals. These lasers provide increased bandwidth by combining multiple CATV signal sets onto a single strand of optical fiber. They feature low adiabatic chirp to maximize signal quality through short and long lengths of fiber. Model 1702A is available at a variety of standard ITU wavelengths and is tested with return path carriers to simulate performance in a real CATV network.
