Vello Systems Deploys Its Ultra Low-Latency CX50-T At Centralized Points On Hudson Fiber Network's North American Metro Exchange Routes
Optical Cards Boast Sub-five Nanosecond Speed
Menlo Park, CA – Vello Systems, a leader in high-performance cloud infrastructure and network virtualization solutions recently announced the deployment of its CX50-T 10G cards for Hudson Fiber Network (HFN), an exclusive provider of high-bandwidth, low-latency networking solutions on its New York and New Jersey Metro exchange routes.
The CX50-T optical service card enables HFN to deploy five, 10G circuits on one card, which is up to five times the density of alternative solutions – minimizing data center footprint. In addition, the ultra low-latency, sub-five nanosecond cards coupled with HFN's metro exchange routes enable HFN's financial clients to further lower their network latency when receiving market data and placing orders from multiple exchanges.
"A reliable and high-quality infrastructure with the lowest possible latency is mission-critical for buy-side, sell-side and financial service providers and this deployment is a crucial element to their operations," said Keith Muller, CEO, Hudson Fiber Network. "Our relationship with Vello Systems provides our clients with a competitive industry advantage and keeps HFN at the forefront of the low-latency, carrier race."
HFN has quickly become a premier Ethernet data provider in the U.S. and with its ongoing relationships with companies like Vello Systems provides financial service customers with solutions that increase network efficiency and lower networking expenditures by 25-40 percent, as compared to competitors.
"Hudson Fiber Network and Vello Systems have collaborated closely on the delivery of our fastest optical service card to the financial services market," said Karl May, CEO and President of Vello Systems. "Hudson Fiber Network's advanced optical network and innovative low-latency services enable their customers to gain a strategic advantage for their trading networks and optimize their data center interconnections for business continuity, regulatory and business agility goals."
Designed for the company's CX Family of cloud infrastructure systems, the CX50T operates in the 5-slot CX4000 system providing up to 200G in three rack units of the industry's lowest latency 10G networking performance for the highest 10G density. The CX50T is optimized for intra-metro applications and is part of Vello Systems growing solutions portfolio for intra- and inter-metro low-latency networking. Equipped with five pluggable multiservice 10G client-side interfaces, the CX50T is engineered for pay-as-you-grow operation and maximum flexibility. Each client interface is software programmable via the VellOS operating system for 10 Gigabit Ethernet, Fiber Channel, or SONET/SDH, ensuring maximum usability and invesent protection. The CX50T service card is fully manageable along with all other CX Family service cards and accessories through the Vello Systems' CloudMaster management and provisioning system.
