Token-Ring NIC

The RapidFire 3141 Fiber Token-Ring adapter provides Token-Ring customers with end-to-end VF-45 multimode fiber connectivity. The network interface card (NIC) supports a range of current and emerging "Managed PC" standards for networked PCs. It supports both proprietary and standards-based remote wake-up capabilities, including ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) and Wake-on-LAN.

The network adapter also features dual transmit buffers for traffic prioritization, optional Flash PROM for Remote Program Load (RPL) and pre-boot execution environment (PxE), auto negotiation (full/half duplex), automatic wire speed detection (4/16 Mbps) and media type detection (UTP/STP), and Microsoft PC 97/98 compliance.
