Timbercon Announces Approval For EZ-MATE Fiber Optic Cable Assemblies

Lake Oswego, OR (Marketwire) - Timbercon, Inc., a fiber optics product and solutions manufacturing company, has expanded its harsh environment capabilities again. Focused on offering the most comprehensive suite of connectivity solutions, Timbercon is pleased to announce approved manufacturing status for the EZ-MATE™ fiber optic hermaphroditic connector series manufactured by Applied Optical Systems (AOS), a subsidiary of Optical Cable Corporation (OCC).

The EZ-MATE™ hermaphroditic fiber optic family of connectors is available in 2, 4, 6, 12 and 24 channels in both plug and receptacle configurations and supports either multi or single mode applications. Cable assemblies use OCC's D-Series Military Tactical and OCC's DX-Series Distribution fiber optic cable which are helically stranded for superior mechanical and optical performance.
