Tellabs 7100 Optical Transport System Expanding In More Than 30 Enterprise Networks

Armed with a new optical transport network multiplexer module and an industry-recognized certification, the Tellabs 7100 Optical Transport System, part of Tellabs Business Services and Wavelength Services solutions, provides enterprises with all they need for their networks.

More than 34 enterprise networks rely on Tellabs Business Services Solutions. The Tellabs 7100 system supports Carrier Ethernet, SONET/SDH and optical transport technologies over a dynamic, reconfigurable optical add-drop multiplexer (ROADM)-enabled network.

Tellabs is introducing an additional wavelength service feature for efficient delivery of new services where and when they're needed. The new optical transport network multiplexer module offers guaranteed quality video delivery.

The module makes timing and service transparent and offers protection options. It supports flexible service connections with any-rate interfaces for 100 Mbps to 2.7 Gbps and video signals such as SDI, HD-SDI and DVB-ASI.
