Noyes - A Div. of Alcoa Fujikura Ltd.S 1 Fiber Optic Talk Set is a communication set and stabilized light source in one package. All units are compatible and require no user settings to establish communications.

The talk set is also a stabilized light source for loss testing, and a 2 kHz tone generator for fiber identification. The tone feature is useful when rerouting fibers; setting the product in the Tone mode allows a second user to identify the fiber non-invasively at a remote location with an optical fiber identifier and then call back to the original unit.

With 40 dB of dynamic range, the set offers long distance voice links up to 100 km. A multi-party connection bridges the links to extend range or to include three or more persons in the conversation.
