Switch Modules

A complete line of optical switch modules are suited for disaster recovery-route diversity, test access and monitoring, WDM add/drop, and other optical networking applications. The optical module family is available in 1x2 and 2x2, 1x4, 1x8, 1x16 and other switch configurations up to 1x32. The optical modules, with core technology based telecom approved relay actuators, are manufactured without using epoxy to secure the moving parts, ensuring repeatability of 0.05 dB maximum.

The modules' have an insertion loss of less than 1.0 dB. Company test data shows that the products operate without any change in performance, ensuring reliability and accuracy of module performance parameters within the operating temperatures between -5 to 70 °C. The optical switches are available in both single mode and multi-mode models, and also can be ordered with latching or non-latching features. 2x2 optical switches are available in blocking and non-blocking models.
