SS7 MTP L2 Access Toolkit

Telesoft Corp. L2 protocol is available as a TDAPI development kit. The package, consisting of embedded MTP L2 software and API with a choice of PCI or cPCI network interface cards, offers telecommunications and data communications equipment manufacturers a foundation platform for developing telecommunications applications and systems which require Signaling System 7 (SS7) technology. These include CO switches, IP gateways, softswitches.

The TDAPI MTP L2 access toolkits are capable of processing up to 32 SS7 signaling channels when used in conjunction with the IPAC series of network interface cards and can also help to facilitate the integration of MTP-3 networking layers and subsequent upper level SS7 stack products.

They provide both a physical interface as well as MTP L1 and L2 functionality. They are fully compatible with M2UA, a new IP based transmission protocol that has been recently defined by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) to facilitate the development of SS7 applications over IP based signaling networks.
