A single-mode version of the OPTI-JACK Fiber Optic Connector, using proven ferrule and split-sleeve technology
The Graybar Storefront of Panduitde version of the OPTI-JACK Fiber Optic Connector, using proven ferrule and split-sleeve technology, achieves the optical performance required for high bandwidth data transmission in premises backbone and intra-building cabling applications.

The connector employs the same RJ-45 form factor as its multi-mode predecessor, providing a familiar interface for users and the high port density capabilities critical in congested cabling environments. The adapterless design mounts flush in faceplates, outlets and patch panels. And the number of components necessary for a complete duplex connection is significantly reduced.

The connector is based upon the TIA FOCIS-6 intermateability specification, for stable interface dimensions and interoperability with similar connectors from multiple vendors. Typical insertion loss is less than 0.3 dB and return loss is greater than 40 dB. Both of these parameters exceed the requirements of the TIA-568A commercial cabling specification. Mechanical and environmental test results also surpass minimum requirements to ensure reliable service in all premises cabling applications. The single-mode connector plugs and jacks are also completely field terminable with standard, commonly available tools and are compatible with all standard fiber optic cable. They can also be purchased in pre-terminated patch cords.
