Free Bending Optical Cord

The free bending cord is composed of two parts; Hole-Assisted Fiber (HAF) and Optical Connector with Shutter.

Hole-Assisted Fiber (HAF)
The Hole-Assisted Fiber developed by NTT R&D can bear bending and doesn't cause deterioration in communication. The optical loss is less than 0.1dB with a 2.5mm bending radius and 10 turns.

Optical Connector with Shutter
The SC connector has a shutter to prevent light-transmittance and dust. Also, a cleaning cloth is pasted on the ferrule side of the shutter. This saves the effort of cleaning the connector before connecting to outlets.
