Semtech Announces Low Power, Reduced Die Size SR4 And Active Optical Cable Chipset For 100G Applications

New additions to ClearEdge® platform offers best-in-class sensitivity while reducing die size and power

Camarillo, CA (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Semtech Corporation (Nasdaq:SMTC), a leading supplier of high performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductors and advanced algorithms, today announced the immediate availability of a quad ClearEdge® CDR with integrated VCSEL laser driver and the quad ClearEdge CDR with integrated TIA.

The new additions to Semtech’s ClearEdge family of ICs, GN2108S and GN2109S, offer a very small die size of 3.02mm by 2.04mm with 1.36W of combined typical power to enable <2W 100G optical modules or AOCs.
