RCN Metro Optical Networks Provides Empire One Telecommunications A Solid Communications Platform On Which They Can Grow

Herndon, VA - RCN Metro Optical Networks, a division of RCN Corporation and a premier provider of fiber optic-based network solutions, announced recently that it is providing Empire One Telecommunications with the communications infrastructure required to support their clientele.

Empire One Telecommunications needed a high bandwidth, SONET-based network in order to support their voice, data, and video applications and customers. RCN Metro recommended a dedicated SONET hub with point-to-point end links, not only because it was best suited to support their application and current needs but also because it could seamlessly and quickly scale to meet their future requirements.
