Photonic Components Start-Up Tsunami Gleans First-Round Funding

Tsunami Optics (Mountain View, CA) has completed its first round of venture funding. The Photonics Fund, VantagePoint Venture Partners, and Williams, Jones and Associates Inc. all invested in the company. In addition, Photonics Fund general partner, Catherine Lego, has been added to Tsunami Optics' board of directors.

Tsunami Optics is a developer and manufacturer of bandwidth-enabling fiberoptic components that route, separate, and switch light within optical networks.
