PUREDATA's PDC8023Z-C is a wire speed and non-blocking chassis based 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet Switch. The switch comes with nine-slot chassis based system that delivers all of the required capabilities for building high-performance switched Ethernet local area networks. Eight slots are used for any mix of optional interface modules with one slot reserved for the system management module. Optional modules include 24 port 10/100 Switched Ethernet with RJ-45 connectors, 2 port GBIC modules for 1000Base-SX/LX. Total 192-prot 10/100Base-TX or 16-port 1000Base-SX/LX can be supported at one time. Dual, hot-swappable power supplies and a hot-swappable fan tray offer added reliability.

The switch is built on a powerful ASIC based 16 Gbps backplane switching fabric allowing network managers to control the bandwidth, and improve traffic flow or link network segments to a data center. The switch supports wire-speed Layer-2 data forwarding with VLAN, IP Multicast, QoS (Quality of Service for data prioritization) and other network-enhanced features. This enterprise chassis based switch supports a wide variety of switched 10/100/1000 Ethernet interfaces with flexible media options and is ideal for a range of applications including power workgroups, backbones, or connecting network segments to server farms.
