OptiCon Systems, Inc. (OSYS) Releases Latest Version of Fiber Optic Network Management Software, R-3.8.0.0

Grapevine, TX - OptiCon Systems, Inc. announced recently the company's main product, the OptiCon Fiber Network Management software, has been updated to its latest release version, R3.8.0.0, and is now ready for deployment.

"The latest version of the OptiCon software is more robust and effective than ever. The company has updated the software to assure compatibility with the latest Oracle database products and Microsoft Operating Systems, in addition to incorporating the newest GIS technology from MapInfo," stated Sadruddin Currimbhoy, CEO of OptiCon. "With significant improvements to our reporting capabilities, particularly in the provisioning segment, we are excited to be able to bring the most up to date capabilities to our current customers and to other telecom companies looking for the best solution in managing their fiber networks," Mr. Currimbhoy added.

In other news, the company also announced that an original developer of the OptiCon software, Mr. Jacques Laurin, has joined the management team as the Vice President of Technology. Mr. Laurin has successfully managed several large development projects in the Telecom, IT and manufacturing industries. He spent eight years with Corning Cable Systems, where he led the development of the OptiCon software, and was instrumental in its setup as a separate entity. Mr. Laurin's critical product knowledge and understanding of the Telecom industry, along with his mastery of database and GIS systems, gives OptiCon a significant edge in the marketplace.
