OFC '99: AFC-2008 Angled Fiber Cleaver
The AFC-2008 Angled Cleaver reduces back-reflection to <-60dB by cleaving the fiber at 8.3°
The AFC-2008 Angled Cleaver reduces back-reflection to <-60dB by cleaving the fiber at 8.3° (±-0.3°) away from perpendicular, allowing users to terminate coupler legs, pigtail laser diodes, and generally eliminate back-reflection. The company can adapt cleavers to customer-specific applications.
Features:
- Angled cleaving of 125µm singlemode and PM optical fiber
- Average end angle of 8ยบ (±-0.3°)
- Easy to use with stapler action
- Multi-position diamond blade
