OC-192 Test Instrument

N/As Generator/Analyzer combined with a new OC-192c POS interface can test data connections that move traffic at 9,960 Mbps. A single network connection can handle up to 150,000 simultaneous phone calls or 1,200,000 pages of information each second.

N/As IP Generator/Analyzer incorporates the same full-rate, real-time Quality of Service (QoS) and performance features in other AX/4000 Broadband Test System modules. The new OC-192c test solution generates up to 1,020 test streams with each stream containing literally billions of traffic flows. Users can test a variety of class-of-service technologies including MPLS and DiffServ. In addition, users can create real-time distribution models to generate traffic with variable IP packet lengths and interarrival times.

The module also auto-identifies and analyzes incoming substreams based on virtually any type of IP traffic classification. In addition to providing a complete set of QoS measurements for each substream at full-rate, the analyzer will provide full-rate capture for IP error characterization and protocol decoding. OC-192c IP QoS testing can be performed in conjunction with other IP QoS test modules, which cover a variety of media types and speeds from SONET OC-3c through SONET OC-48c including POS, IP/ATM, IP/Frame Relay, Gigabit Ethernet and 10/100 Ethernet.
