NextiraOne Federal, Nortel Government Solutions To Team Up On U.S. Army Program
Washington - NextiraOne Federal, doing business as Black Box Network Services, and Nortel Government Solutions plan to work together to propose joint solutions for the U.S. Army Infrastructure Modernization (IMOD) program.
NextiraOne Federal, an authorized Nortel reseller, was awarded one of 10 Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts to provide converged voice and data solutions for bases worldwide under the U.S. Army IMOD program.
"We are very proud to have been chosen for an award under the IMOD program," said Stephen Snyder, president, NextiraOne Federal. "IMOD is a critical step to securing seamless integration of data, voice and outside plant for integrated Army communications systems worldwide and will replace the Digital Switched Systems Modernization Program (DSSMP) contracts. We are excited and look forward to supporting our men and women both abroad and at home through this endeavor."
"NextiraOne Federal has the full Nortel solutions portfolio and extensive Nortel Government Solutions systems integration experience at its disposal as it strives to help make the IMOD program a big success," said Chuck Saffell, CEO, Nortel Government Solutions.
NextiraOne Federal proposals under the IMOD IDIQ contract are expected to include market-leading Nortel voice, VoIP, security, optical, wireless and data communications offerings. They are also expected to include differentiated, value-added services like network integration, taking advantage of the unique expertise of Nortel Government Solutions in integrating communications solutions for government agencies.
