New Model 6272 Fiber Optic ST Duplex A/B Switch features Remote Serial Contnrol & Gagabyte Data Rate

Cranston, RI - Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL) has just announced its new QuickSwitch Model 6272 Fiber Optic ST Duplex A/B Switch with Remote Serial Control. The Model 6272 allows access to either of two ST Duplex Fiber Optic networks from one computer connected to an ST Duplex COMMON port. This switch features a MEMS-based (Micro Electro Mechanical System) multimode mirror switch.

The Model 6272 can be controlled manually or remotely. The switched Fiber Optic ST Duplex ports are transparent to data and speed. The switch supports a Fiber Optic wavelength of 1300 nm and Gigabyte Data Rate.
