Mexican Law Firm EGAO Announces Auction Of Mexican Fiber Optic

MEXICO CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Javier Ogarrio at the Mexican law firm of EGAO (www.egao.com.mx) announced today that one of his multinational clients is making available 235 kilometers of fiber optic cable in México to communications carriers.

Mr. Ogarrio said that his client owns dark fiber optic cable running between Veracruz, Puebla, and México City. Mr. Ogarrio stated that his client is in preliminary negotiations with a number of concession holders which expect to use the fiber to expand their services in the central México area. Mr. Ogarrio further declared that his client expects to announce a sale or a long term lease within the next sixty days.

The successful bidder will realize a significant increase in telecommunications and television services in these areas.
