LinkView Family

Wandel & Goltermann Technologies, Inc. expanded its LinkView family of NIC-based analyzers with two new products and four new versions of previously announced products.

The LinkView family offers testing capabilities for detecting, processing, and displaying network events responsible for slowing down networks. Featuring both software-based and hardware-based monitoring tools, LinkView analyzers let users diagnose, reconfigure, and troubleshoot their networks.

The first product, LinkView PRO Collision Expert, combines proprietary hardware and software to determine bandwidth utilization and true collision rates and to provide comprehensive network analysis tests. It allows network professionals to process and display network events responsible for slowing down their Ethernet networks, and then troubleshoot and resolve problems.

The LinkView Token Ring Expert utilizes proprietary circuitry to control and measure the analog properties of the data signal in the network. It then combines this functionality with extensive analysis of the MAC layer information to detect and diagnose network problems.

A 32-bit, software-only network analyzer, LinkView PRO is suited for network professionals who support Token Ring, Ethernet, and Fast Ethernet networks and require an economical and easy-to-use Tier 1 analysis tool that can monitor, capture, decode, and generate Ethernet and Token Ring traffic. This tool provides LAN traffic analysis, Internet traffic analysis and includes user-configurable display and station report Wizards.
