Layer 3 Gigabit Switch

The GFS3016 Switch Router is a modular Gigabit Switch Router that integrates Coarse Wave Division Multiplexing (CWDM) and Gigabit Ethernet. This fully redundant system enables maximum network uptime. The system is a member of the GigaFrame Switch (GFS) family architecture. Ideally suited for Metropolitan Area Networks with long-distance links (20km), it is a powerful switch capable of supporting high-bandwidth applications. These include Gigabit Ethernet and ATM backbones for Metropolitan Networks and Service Providers, both of which can be combined over CWDM technology.

The six-slot modular design of the GFS3016 can support a maximum port density of 16-Gigabit Ethernet ports, 62 10/100Base-TX ports or 32 100Base-FX ports.
