Source: Juniper Networks
Juniper Networksd infrastructure platform provider <%=company%> (Mountain View, CA) has become the first user of Agilent Technologies' (Palo Alto, CA) OC-48c RouterTester system. Agilent recently completed initial product delivery of the multi-port OC-48c system, which is being used by Juniper for ongoing development of its M40 Internet backbone router and other products.

RouterTester, which incorporates multiple Packet over SONET/SDH (POS) interfaces and integrated support for the BGP-4 routing protocol, is the industry's only test system capable of performing true Internet-scale simulation to support development and performance testing of high-speed routers.

The Juniper Networks M40 is the first of a new generation of Internet routing platforms designed to combine the performance of switching and routing, with throughput of over 40Gbps and industry-leading packet lookups of 40Mbps. The RouterTester system is capable of generating OC-48c test traffic and performing wire-speed analysis, up to the full throughput capacity of the M40.
