The DSC-10, DSC-20, DSC-30, DSC-40, and DSC-50 are InGaAs PIN photodetectors
The DSC-10, DSC-20, DSC-30, DSC-40, and DSC-50 are InGaAs PIN photodetectors. The devices are front-illuminated to allow for maximum coupling efficiency and responsivity. Very low capacitance allows direct modulation at frequencies up to 50 GHz at 3 Volts.
The use of "Air Bridge" technology allows the InGaAs PIN detectors to be front-illuminated for maximum coupling efficiency and photo responsivity without increasing the parasitics. The chip features a coplanar waveguide (ground-signal-ground) output with standard 100 micron spacing that allows quick and easy on-wafer RF and DC testing of the PIN detectors using standard industrial microwave probes. Applications include:
- SONET OC-48 OC-192 OC-768
- SDH ST-16 ST-64 ST-256
- Low-Loss Distribution of Microwave Signals
- Remote Microwave Antennas
- CATV Distribution / Satellite Fiber Links
- High Speed Test and Measurement Instrumentation for Microwave Sonet Systems
