Bozeman, MT -- ILX Lightwave Corporation announces a patent approval for the invention of a precision bare fiber holder. The BF-820 Bare Fiber Holder incorporates a patented V-groove design for easy repeatable bare fiber insertion and positioning.

The patented design also insures there is no excess pressure on the fiber avoiding polarization distorted measurements. The BF-820 completely encircles the bare fiber, which blocks all ambient light from the fiber for more precise measurements. Convenient finger grips enable single-handed positioning and placement of the bare fiber.
