Flute Completes First Major Milestone For Concerto #1

Submarine cable network company Flute Ltd. (Cambridge, UK) has finished the marine survey for its Concerto #1 project. This completes one of the major milestones of the project. When complete, Concerto #1 will connect London; Amsterdam, The Netherlands; and Belgium.

The Marine route survey is essential to ensuring that the route for the cable is free from wrecks and obstacles and that the seabed is suitable for burying the cable. The cable must be buried in the North Sea because of heavy fishing and shipping activity, which can cause breaks in any unburied cable.
