Leaders in Network Analysis and Performance Management Bridge the Gap between Local Troubleshooting and Global Performance Monitoring

Everett, WA -- Fluke Networks announced today that Concord Communications, Inc. has certified the OptiView™ Integrated Network Analyzer and the OptiView™ Workgroup Network Analyzer as eHealth™ Ready. By integrating Concord Communication's eHealth™ Suite with Fluke Networks' OptiView network analyzers, IT operations managers and network engineers share an effective feedback loop between performance management and problem isolation and resolution.

"Concord Communication's eHealth Suite now provides fault, performance and availability management for Fluke Networks' OptiView network analyzers," said Chris Daley, Technology Alliance Manager, Concord Communications. "As a result, the eHealth Suite has the ability to automatically discover OptiView analyzers, and then collect, analyze, and report on various network and system resources and faults."

OptiView provides a unique out-of-the-box solution that combines the ability to perform active discovery with packet capture and statistical functions. Once plugged into a free network port, OptiView immediately discovers its surroundings and returns actionable information to its own display or console. For users of Concord's eHealth Suite, OptiView analyzers can perform as either a stand-alone tool or distributed device to supply fault and performance management capabilities down to Layers 1 and 2.

"OptiView extends the range of Concord into the network layers while at the same time providing a way of actuating the consequences of performance alarms generated by Concord," said Mike Jude, senior analyst at Enterprise Management Associates. "For those wishing to leverage the investments they have made in Concord, OptiView provides a cost effective way to extend the capabilities in Concord solutions such as the eHealth Suite."

"Fluke Networks' interoperability with Concord is also an important indicator for OptiView customers," adds David Coffin, general manager of Fluke Networks' Enterprise Solutions Group. "Since the introduction of OptiView, we have continued to grow our business beyond the power of portable, stand-alone solutions. Working with Concord, we deliver on our promise to extend the investment of OptiView while enhancing the functionality of existing enterprise solutions."

Concord's eHealth Ready™ Partner Program certifies vendor's devices and traps, focusing on the ability to collect, analyze, and report on various network and system resources and faults, ensuring users interoperability and fault and performance management capabilities within a broad range of innovative technologies.
