GN Nettest, Inc.5000 Series Fiber Optic Power Meters are test instruments for cable acceptance testing, splicing, end-to-end testing of installed links, FDDI testing and connectorization.

Readings are reported in dBm. These power meters are calibrated at four selectable wavelengths at 780, 850, 1300 and 1550 nm. All power readings and settings are presented on the LCD display.

Two models are available. The LP-5000 with a measurement range of +5 dBm to -60 dBm can be used for telecommunication and data communication testing applications. The LP-5000C's +20 dBm to -45 dBm measurement range can be used for high power applications such as CATV. Both models offer the convenience of three-way power.

These meters can operate by using either the AC charger/adapter or on their alkaline or rechargeable NiCd batteries.
