The Graybar Storefront of 3Comilder 3500 FDDI module provides wire-speed switching and routing on six or three DAS ports. With these modules the user can enhance FDDI-to-Ethernet migration by establishing wire-speed routing and connectivity between switched Ethernet LANs and FDDI servers or an FDDI backbone.
The modules combine state-of-the-art switching features, such as IP fragmentation in the switch, to provide high forwarding rates and peak efficiency. The modules are available for DAS and SAS multimode and single mode fiber SC connections. Dual-attach FDDI connectors enable configuration resilient links to prevent downtime in case of ring failure.
