FC/PC Connector

The Graybar Storefront of 3M Telecom Systems Divisiononnector is a field mountable, pull-proof connector that is fully compatible with all FC connectors adhering to the NTT specification. The ferrule is independent of the backbone so that a pull on the jacketed connectorized cable will not cause the ferrule to break optical contact with a second ferrule in a connection.

The connector maximizes termination yield through ease of mounting and a high-performance polishing procedure. The extended ferrule collar ensures that the adhesive encapsulates the end of the buffer without wicking or spreading. The connector is available in single- and multimode utilizing epoxy adhesive. It is also available in multimode preloaded with the company's Hot Melt adhesive, enabling a field termination in less than two minutes for multiple terminations.

The connectors are designed for advanced fiber optic systems requiring exceptional stability and low reflections. The FC/PC hot melt multimode connector is specifically intended for ease of termination in environmentally controlled applications.
