Custom Filter Design

Much of Iridian's work is specifically tailored to some particular customer's needs. Filter design is a critical factor. Iridian has an array of design tools at its disposal including some that are proprietary. The most complex problems often require more than one approach to determine the optimum structure. There may be more than one solution to a problem but some will be more manufacturable and robust than others. Designs for the more complex filters have more than 100 layers of material. Manufacturing complex filters requires precise control of layer thickness and material quality. Iridian has proprietary real-time automated control processes that accomplish this.

When required, Iridian Spectral Technologies will undertake filter design as the first step and then provide customers with a quotation for manufacture. Iridian Spectral Technologies is interested in new challenges and new applications as we broaden the line of our products.
