ClearSpectrum™ Multi-channel Tunable Dispersion Compensator

The ClearSpectrum™-MTDC is a patented multi-channel tunable chromatic dispersion compensator for dynamic wideband dispersion adjustments in high data rate optical networks. The MTDC offers flexible dispersion level tuning while compensating for residual dispersion slope. The central dispersion level in each channel can be accurately and independently preset in order to match the dispersion slope of a given fiber link. Tuning of the dispersion is achieved simultaneously over all DWDM channels. The ClearSpectrum™-MTDC is the ideal component for dispersion compensation in present and future agile networks at 10 Gb/s.
