Cignal Buys Trans-Atlantic and Domestic Capacity from Pacific Gateway

International data carrier Cignal Global Communications (Cambridge, MA) has secured transatlantic and domestic network capacity from Pacific Gateway Exchange (Burlingame, CA). In addition, both companies agreed to purchase services through each other's global network.

Cignal will buy network capacity from Pacific Gateway on its transatlantic city center network connecting the US with Europe and a US domestic coast-to-coast link. Under a separate agreement, Pacific Gateway will purchase International services on Cignal's global network and Cignal will purchase services over Pacific Gateway's global facility based network. The companies will pay each other cash for the services and network they deliver to each other.

Operating already in Canada, Hong Kong (China), The Netherlands, Taiwan (data only), the UK, and the US, Cignal will include Belgium, France, Germany, Japan, and Korea in its network by June 30. The international connections acquired from Pacific Gateway will traverse between Cignal's New York site and its London; Amsterdam, The Netherlands; or Frankfurt, Germany locations.
