Bullet Bare Fiber Adapter

Source: Precor Fiber Optics
These precision engineered bare fibre adaptors allow the simple connection of OTDR's
These precision engineered bare fibre adaptors allow the simple connection of OTDR's, Power Meters, Talk Sets and demonstration equipment to unterminated fibre, without the time and equipment necessary to conventionally terminate the fibre.

A complete range of adaptor is available to suit almost all connector types. Only the most popular configurations have been listed in Ordering Information, so if you need an unlisted adaptor, please ask. The cleaved fibre is simply inserted into the unit until the cleave is flush with the ferrule face, then the foam lined clamp is closed securing the fibre during testing. Simply depressing the clamp will then release the fibre. Each unit is supplied with a carrying case and cleaning wires to remove any fractured fibres from the ferrule. In addition to the individual adaptors, a complete kit allows the user to connect multimode ST, SC and FS, and singlemode FC and SC test units to bare fibre. Comprising the Bullet body and 4 interchangeable ferrule units (ST, SC, FSMA and FC), the kit is supplied in a compact fitted case.

It represents a significant saving over individual units, and is ideal for regular users of OTDRs, power meters, talk sets etc. Kits can also be configured to your special requirements, so again please ask, if this is what you would prefer.
