BTI to Provide Dark Fiber to Two Undisclosed Companies

Raleigh, NC-based BTI, a provider of integrated communications services in the Southeast, has inked two agreements totaling $11.4 million to provide third parties usage rights to BTI's dark fiber. Under the terms of the agreements, BTI will provide two national telecommunication carriers access to key routes along BTI's 500-mile Coastal Carolina fiber-optic network,.

The revenue generated from these agreements will help offset initial development costs as BTI nears completion of one of its fiber network and will enable the company to continue its expansion throughout its market footprint.
