Broadwing To Build Additional Facilities Nationwide

In an effort to expand and enhance its existing Class A facilities in Austin, TX and Newark, DE, Broadwing Communications (Cincinnati, OH) is building additional data center collocation facilities across the country. The expansion is a response to escalating customer demand for collocation services.

The new facilities in Santa Clara, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Boston, Washington, DC, Dallas, and Los Angeles will offer businesses, including Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and high-speed access to the Internet by connecting to Broadwing's Gemini2000 network via OC-12 (622 Mb/s) connections, which can be expanded to an OC-48 (2,500 Mb/s). These data centers will provide direct access to the company's network.
