Backreflection Meter

A handheld backreflection meter measures optical return loss over a measurement range from -1 dB to -65 dB, with a resolution of ±0.01 dB and an accuracy of ±1 dB. Available for singlemode or polarization-maintaining fiber, the unit incorporates built-in 1300-nm, 1500-nm, or dual-wavelength sources; operating wavelengths include 635 nm, 780 to 850 nm, 980 nm, 1060 nm, 1310 nm, and 1550 nm. The 7.5-in x 4-in x 1.5-in meter operates off of a power supply or an optional, rechargeable battery pack. Applications include component testing and network installation.
