40-Channel 100 GHz AWG DWDM Multiplexer/DeMultiplexer

N/Annel 100 GHz AWG DWDM Multiplexer/DeMultiplexer was designed for long haul and metro dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) systems applications. The 40-Channel AWG DWDM MUX/DMUX device enables the transmission of 40-channels of information on a single fiber, with each channel operating at a different optical wavelength.

These devices are based on this company's proprietary planar silica LightWeaver waveguide technology. In addition, patented integrated planar optical star coupler technology, a critical AWG fabrication element, is licensed from Polaroid Corporation. The devices are available in Wide Band or Gaussian passbands. They feature high channel uniformity, low insertion loss, high isolation, and are housed in compact, environmentally stable and reliable packages. The devices are also offered in 16-channel configurations and will be available in a hermetic package. Currently undergoing Telcordia GR-1209 and GR-1221 defined tests, the 40-Channel devices are available now in sample quantities.
