The cable technology allows for increased signal power and reduced crosstalk vs. the proposed performance limits for Category 6 from both TIA/EIA and ISO/IEC 11801. GigaLAN has increased headroom by more than 50% at 200 MHz. Voice and video can be transmitted at rates measured by Gbps.
