100BASE-TX to 100BASE-FX Bridging Media Converter

• Provides one RJ-45 unshielded twisted pair 10/100 Ethernet port and one 100BASE-FX fiber port.
  
• The RJ-45 port is auto-sensing for 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX
  
• The fiber port is 100BASE-FX multimode (ST or SC) or single mode SC.
  
• Uses packet buffering technology to ensure that runt and error packets are filtered out.
  
• Provides 1Mbyte of packet buffer – enough to hold a minimum of 600 maximum-sized Ethernet packets; ensuring a more robust network environment in any application that requires media conversion technology.
  
• Retiming and regeneration of the packets maintains the integrity of the network – at wire speeds in any configuration.

Applications
Extend a Network Connection: Extend a network connection 2,000 meters using two Bridging Media Converters back-to-back. When used with Fast Ethernet hubs, the fiber connection will provide a 100Mbps collisionless, full-duplex link between the two half-duplex devices.
