The ClearSpectrum–DCM is a multi-channel chromatic dispersion compensation module for metro core, regional and long haul DWDM systems. The ClearSpectrum–DCM is an attractive alternative to dispersion compensation fiber (DCF) in cost-sensitive metro networks since its small footprint minimizes space and its low insertion loss reduces amplification requirements. In long haul networks the ClearSpectrum–DCM can be deployed to correct for dispersion in line or at the terminal.
