Optimark was founded in 1988 by Marjorie Katz with the purpose of providing consulting on Optical Fiber Marketing and Sales. Since then, Optimark has expanded to selling fiberoptic products and systems, both as manufacturers' representatives and dealers, while still providing consulting services for sales and marketing of fiberoptic products, as well as for system design and implementation.

Our client list includes Hoechst-Celanese, Ramar Corporation, Selco/Sifam, Gould Fiber Optics, Wave Optics, Lightwave Electronics, Foster Miller, Aerotech World Trade, Siemens Atea, Corning/OCA, Foxwoods Casino, the Panama Canal Commission, the U.S. Air Force, and the New York State Assembly.
