George W. Newton founded our company in 1949, with the goal of building a quality product in a good work environment. Our primary activity at the time was the design and manufacture of medical instruments. This led to contract manufacturing, often for the tobacco and textile industries. In the 1960's we discovered that the communications industry needed a quality, responsive supplier for central office iron works. Since the 1970's, we've focused exclusively on the telecommunications market.

When George Newton retired in 1986, ownership of the company passed to his sons Wallace and Walter Newton. As a family business, we've always operated by the same philosophy: manufacture and sell the industry's best products and provide the best service, in a people-oriented work environment. Most importantly, always work to improve.

Newton's products can be found throughout the world in telephone central offices, customer premises and computer rooms. Several of our component designs are patented. We presently employ over 750 people dedicated to providing quality products and services to our customers every day.
