About Us
To do this, we need the right technologies, the right products, the right team, the right global manufacturing model, and the right customer focus.
E2O's products are based on our unique Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (VCSEL) technology. We support 850 nm multimode fiber optic applications today, and are poised to revolutionize the market in the coming years with the introduction of 1310 nm and 1550 nm VCSEL emitters. Imagine, a common Physical Layer design for 95% of all fiber-optic links (those covering distances less than 550 meters).
And there is much, much more. Our industry-seasoned Manufacturing Team, exploiting our global infrastructure to attain competitive advantage, is already shipping production volumes of the latest 1.25 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel products, all in Multiple Source Agreement (MSA), industry standard configurations. And our world-class Product Development Team, recruited from among the finest technology organizations in the world, are hard at work on next-generation 10 Gbps and 30 Gbps serial, parallel and WWDM fiber optic subsystems, for the exploding Internetworking and Telecommunications markets. And, with the introduction of our Long Wavelength VCSEL components soon, E2O will expand its served marketplace from today's Enterprise multimode fiber applications to the pervasive single mode fiber applications of the new "all optical" metro and wide area Telecommunications networks.
