Chorum Technologies' Dynamic Variable Attenuator (DVA) is a voltage-controlled optical variable attenuator for single-mode broadband or single-channel applications.
Based on Chorum's patented polarization processing and liquid crystal technologies, the DVA supports real-time power attenuation, controlled by an electronic feedback circuit. Chorum's DVA contains no moving parts and offers low insertion loss, low Polarization Dependence Loss (PDL), and a wide dynamic range.
Chorum Technologies' DVA is ideal for optical power regulation applications in dynamic optic networks.
