Chorum Technologies' Optical Harmonic Equalizer (OHE) provides dynamic optical amplifier gain equalization and control.
Comprised of a cascade of voltage-controlled liquid-crystal elements, control circuitry and OHE-Soft™ power equalization software, the OHE uses a harmonic filtering approach to flatten or ‘tilt' a broadband amplifier profile. Chorum Technologies' OHE offers excellent spectral flatness with low ripple and does not incorporate any moving parts. For customers wanting to simulate OHE performance with their own amplifier, Chorum also offers OHE-Sim™ simulation software. OHE-Sim™ allows customers to test and evaluate OHE response and performance for various amplifier profiles and desired power output profiles.
