The DWDM EDFA Gain Blocks include low-noise-figure pre-amplifiers, in-line amplifiers and boosters with saturated output powers up to 15 dBm (Metro DWDM) and 21 dBm (Long-Haul DWDM). The series include both C-band (1535 nm - 1562 nm) and L-band (1579 nm - 1606 nm) models.

The EOA series of Long-Haul DWDM EDFA Gain Blocks includes pre-amplifiers, in-line amplifiers and boosters flattened over up to 40 nm. They are all designed to accommodate a large dynamic input power range, for channel adding and dropping, while preserving excellent gain flatness and low noise figure.

Available in both the C and L bands, the EOA series of Metro DWDM EDFA Gain Blocks can be used either as boosters or in-line amplifiers in 32-channel applications with 100-GHz channel spacing. They provide high, flattened gain over the corresponding bandwidth. Their built-in electronics provide flexible pump driving and TEC control.

All gain blocks in the EOA series can be externally biased by customer's circuitry, or our built-in electronics, for flexible driving or automatic gain control. Standard amplifier designs can readily be modified to optimize amplifier performance to specific operational regimes.
